In our next Head of Nursing, we are seeking an ambitious, inspiring and purposeful academic leader to provide vision, direction and fresh thinking to grow and develop our offer and build on the great work of our team of active practitioners, dedicated researchers and inspiring lecturers. As a member of the School’s Executive team, you will also play a key role in shaping the School’s strategic direction through a commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching, research and knowledge exchange.
You will be joining a fantastic health ecosystem in Leeds with close working relationships between Universities, Health and Care providers, Leeds City Council, and strong strategic relationships with Private, Independent and Voluntary Organisations. You will nurture and develop our partnerships with clinical stakeholders, as well as representing the University externally in city, regional and national capacities.
Key to your success will be the ability to demonstrate a positive track record in leadership and management, teaching and research or professional practice, with extensive knowledge of the higher education, regulatory and political environments in relation to the provision of nurse education and training. You will evidence building productive relationships with external stakeholders, and most importantly, will be passionate about delivering a high quality student experience and excellent student outcomes.
