A graduate of Newcastle Business School, Simon has 14 years of Executive Search & Recruitment experience, that combines both internal and agency.
He comes to Dixon Walter from Newcastle University where he led on senior level appointments, ensuring the effective design and delivery of processes to appoint senior academic and professional service roles at Executive Board level and beyond, across all facets of the institution.
Simon is uniquely placed; with his in-depth understanding of university structures, management, processes and priorities to effectively engage with key stakeholders and colleagues across the HE sector, to deliver successful recruitment outcomes that exceed expectations and align with internal values and aspirations.
Being passionate about the Higher Education sector and the wider impact that it’s leadership profile has upon the succession of talent, he is keen to develop further Dixon Walter’s offering in terms of reaching more diverse talent and ultimately, enhancing the student experience.
Outside of work Simon enjoys spending time with his young son, exploring any mischief a young toddler can cause!
An avid fan of many sports, he particularly enjoys watching and playing darts at any level.
